Saturday Night date w/ the BBC

I live for Saturday night tv on PBS.

10:30 pm Red Dwarf
I've seen every one at least a dozen times but I still love it.

11:00 pm Blackadder
I've seen every one at least a couple of dozen times (except for the 1st season, which I hate) and it still makes me laugh

11:30 pm Faulty Towers
John Clease at his best...need I say more?

Who needs a man when I can stay home, eat leftover Chinese, and watch British Comedies?

I'm tellin ya, this is the life.

The Meat Market

While my offspring was at scouts the other night (another cute story for another blog) I went to Albertson's for ::drum roll:: groceries!

Excitement.

They had their ground beef on special (99 cents a lb. in case you were wondering) so I headed over to the meat counter. Mr. Cute Butcher was there and helped me...tall, dark, and handsome...very nicely seperating 6 lbs into freezer wrapped packages of 1 lb. each. We were talking and I mentioned that it was just me and an 8 year old, which he repeated "Just you and an 8 year old, huh?" We got to talking about how he likes to cook expensive meals, that meat is expensive in Utah, and I suavely mentioned that we live off hamburger helper...and laughed.

I think he was flirting with me.

And it felt good.

So I'll be back at Albertson's meat counter every Wednesday about 7:30 pm, not just because of a cute guy but because that's when they put their ground beef on sale too. But next time I'm wearing a better shirt and I'm gonna wear lipstick.

Just so ya know.

Still Single

Well the former crush's girlfriend ended up being a stalker...including breaking-and-entering, protective orders, the works. He now calls me again as if nothing ever happened...I'm soooo over it.

I've also finally managed to get over a guy I've been in love with for about 5 years. It just suddenly occured to me that I was over it...since he's never been into me as more than a friend, it's about darn-tootin time!

I'm imagining myself meeting Mr. Right at a book store or somewhere, just striking up conversation and hitting it off. I don't know how I'll meet him anywhere else...most places ya meet people don't work for me.

The timing is perfect...I can focus on my writing for a few months...and then maybe by fall I'll be ready to open up to the idea of a relationship...or not...it really doesn't matter.
